For those of you who do not know, two of our most long standing and dedicated volunteers will be leaving Region-89 at the end of this season. Jim Simon & Rick Russell each have over 20 years with AYSO and have worn nearly every hat there is to wear.
If you see them, please say THANKS for all the great service to so many soccer players.


Volunteer Appreciation Picinic
Are you a coach, asst coach, referee, team parent, or board member? This event is for you and your family. It is our Annual Volunteer Appreciation Picinic.
Where: Northmont Elementary School Field
When: Sunday the 15th of Nov from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Food will be provided along with a jump for the kids. Bring your own chair and outdoor games. You've worked hard to create a great season, now relax and have some fun with the other dedicated volunteers!

Volunteers Needed
La Mesa AYSO is an all volunteer organization.

We need many volunteers to successfully run our
region. Please consider giving your time to the thousands
of kids who are allowed to play soccer every year.

Commissioner in Training
Our Regional Commissioner will be retiring in Feb 2011. This is an opportunity to manage and encourage a motivated group of volunteers as we put on a quality youth soccer program. The current commissioner will provide lots of mentoring as you learn the in's and out's of a very rewarding community position. Assistant Treasurer
Are you detail oriented with good computer skills? The military has called and our Treasurer is being deployed to the other side of the world. Our current Assistant Treasurer needs your help. Please contact the volunteer coordinator at gay-faracemann@cox.net for more details on how you can step up to this challenge.

La Mesa AYSO is an all volunteer organization. We are always in need of more volunteers and you can help.

We currently have openings for:

Asst. Commissioner
Work with our current Regional Commissioner managing a motivated group of volunteers. The current Commissioner is looking towards the future and would like to begin training his replacement. If you are looking for a chance to make a difference, this is it. Formal training and mentoring is available to ensure your success at this important volunteer position.
We can provide training or mentoring for all of these positions. For more information, please contact the commissioner.
